Rainbow Yacht Club Visits Blake Passage

Rainbow Yacht Club coming into Juneau Marina
The Rainbow Yacht Club cruised through Blake Passage last Sunday. I was almost asleep in my rocking chair at the boat house when I some some colorful spinnakers enter the harbor area from Glacier Bay.

Seaplane lands just off the boat house approach
While the cruisers were exploring the area around the boat house we were treated to a beautiful landing by a seaplane coming into the seaplane base of the Juneau Airport. There is a nice view of the Fairweather Mountains in the background.

some tight tacking as the Rainbow fleet departs for the Columbia River area
As the fleet departed for points south and the Blake Sea we got this nice shot which really captures the immerisve nature of the twenty-five sims that make up The Blake Passage area just to the north of the Blake Sea proper.
