Rainbow Yacht Club coming into Juneau Marina |
The Rainbow Yacht Club cruised through Blake Passage last Sunday. I was almost asleep in my rocking chair at the boat house when I some some colorful spinnakers enter the harbor area from Glacier Bay.

Seaplane lands just off the boat house approach |
While the cruisers were exploring the area around the boat house we were treated to a beautiful landing by a seaplane coming into the seaplane base of the Juneau Airport. There is a nice view of the Fairweather Mountains in the background.

some tight tacking as the Rainbow fleet departs for the Columbia River area |
As the fleet departed for points south and the Blake Sea we got this nice shot which really captures the immerisve nature of the twenty-five sims that make up The Blake Passage area just to the north of the Blake Sea proper.
